3rd JDC
The court worked with the district attorney and sheriff on citizen panels, to introduce interested citizens to the criminal justice system.
16th JDC
The judges visited classrooms, gave talks at various forums, participated in Judicial Ride-Along programs, sponsored tours of the court, and participated in school shadow programs on a regular ongoing basis. The judges also met annually with local legislators and maintained a website which includes information about individual divisions of the court as well as about the court in general.
33rd JDC
The court hosted mock trials for elementary schools.
36th JDC
The court held two parish-wide open houses at the new facility.
40th JDC
The court participated in the annual Law Day celebration.
East Baton Rouge Juvenile Court
The court sponsored programs/events to allow at-risk children to participate in "fun" activities while interacting with judges, court staff, and local law enforcement agencies.
