EUNICE CITY COURT | The court was very "hands on" in assisting the public with their needs in court and did whatever it could, within ethical and legal bounds, to help them process their claims, disputes, and complaints. |
FRANKLIN CITY COURT | Franklin City Court informed staff on proper and prompt handling of files. |
JEANERETTE CITY COURT | Suggestion - the LASC should implement a monthly news letter for judicial administrators and City Court Clerks to discuss changes in the law and the effects of these changes on court systems. Compliance strategies should be included, to try and develop a uniform system for all courts. |
JEFFERSON PARISH 2ND PARISH COURT | The court printed Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) reports and provided them to defendants in order to facilitate removing flags from their drivers licenses. In trials involving self-represented litigants, court procedure is to explain the court process, an overview of the proceedings, and exhibits presented. |
NEW IBERIA CITY COURT | The court continued exploring the possibility of a grant from the Louisiana Supreme Court to obtain a paperless system that would work in conjunction with the city prosecutor and police department. |
