3rd JDC
The 3rd JDC participated in annual ethics & professionalism offered to local bar associations.
10th JDC
The 10th JDC used Case Management Orders, Telephone Status Conferences, and Special Settings, attended as much CLE as allowed, and continued to build relationships with other courts.
12th JDC
The 12th JDC routinely networked with judges of other nearby jurisdictions.
17th JDC
The 17th JDC acted as a pilot court for LASC aiDashboard for the Louisiana Protective Order Registry, taught Uniform Commitment Order (UCO) training at Clerk's Association meetings, presented on Court Technology and UCO completion at LDJA Spring Conference, performed live demonstrations of aiSmartbench judicial case processing dashboard to other courts, and performed live demonstration of aiDashboard to other courts.

Caddo Parish Juvenile Court
Caddo Parish Juvenile Court has implemented Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) in Child in Need of Care (CINC) cases. Chief Judge David Matlock has led the initiative in which counselors and child protection case workers inquire and address the singular and pervasive effect trauma and disturbed childhood attachments have on CINC clients. Additionally, the initiative will address trauma as it effects every part of the juvenile justice system.
East Baton Rouge Family Court
East Baton Rouge Family Court judges all attend more than the required judicial education and use smart bench to facilitate exchange with fellow judges.
East Baton Rouge Juvenile Court
Other strategies used by East Baton Rouge Juvenile Court to advance judicial competency through judicial education, training and collegiality included teaching Criminology at Southern University and conducting ethics and professionalism classes for lawyers at Juvenile Court to familiarize them with the Rules of Professional Conduct involving pretrial and trial issues. The court also informed attorneys about specific ethical issues that arise with Juvenile Court cases and promoted civility of lawyers in preparing for trial and during trial by making them more aware of the particular rules that govern their conduct while practicing at the Juvenile Court.
