Additional actions taken by the courts to address this objective
1st Circuit | The clerk participated actively in the Louisiana Clerks of Court Association and the Louisiana Court Administrators Association, which facilitates communication of issues and their resolution. The clerk and Business Services Manager attended the Chief Judges Strategic Planning Retreat, which included topics on best practices, to facilitate improved record preparation and coordination among five appellate courts and lower courts. The various judges presented CLE lectures involving attorneys, court clerks, and local bar associations to provide guidance in court operations. |
3rd Circuit | The court provided the district clerks of court and workers compensation clerks of court with a manual regarding the preparation of appellate records for proper filing in this court. Additionally, appropriate contact information continued to be provided on the court's website should anyone in the lower courts need information. The Third Circuit Judges Association has an annual meeting in an August seminar to address recent developments within our circuit. |
