11th JDC
A new sound system was installed in the courtroom to allow the public (and court personnel) to better hear what was being said on the record.
14th JDC
In 2015, the court commenced use of additional courtroom space at parish correctional center. The court continues that use today.
19th JDC
The 19th JDC made sure that all holidays (and emergency closures) were posted on the court website. Court staff also posted a sign on the courthouse door any time the courthouse was closed (other than weekends.)
22nd JDC
Judges spoke at public and private gatherings.
25th JDC
The court updated the self-represented litigant website and forms.
32nd JDC
The court improved signage in the courthouse.
38th JDC
The 38th Judicial District Court is temporarily located at the Cameron Parish Police Jury Office. We are currently using the Cameron Parish Police Jury meeting room to hold court proceedings. The signage for this building is provided by the Police Jury.
Caddo Parish Juvenile Court
Court staff spoke at community meetings, Caddo Parish Commission meetings, school board meetings, city council meetings, radio and TV interviews, newspaper interviews, and articles about the juvenile court.
East Baton Rouge Juvenile Court
In order to better communicate with the public, as parties checked in at the Court's receptionist/help desk, each person was asked to complete an information sheet reflecting there current address; telephone numbers and email addresses. The updated information was used to better communicate with them upcoming court appearance dates, changes in schedules, etc.
Orleans Parish Criminal District Court
Court performance is provided to the City Council and the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council, as well as other public agencies.
