Additional actions taken by the courts to address this objective
1st Circuit | A coordinated project between the Clerk's Office, Central Staff, and the IT Department resulted in a new court application that produces reports tailored to the needs of Central Staff and reduces the need for double data entry into multiple case information systems. |
2nd Circuit | The court's programmer continued to be actively involved in observing the Clerk's Office functions and needs. Once the new case management system is in place, this court will move forward to e-filing and e-notification. |
3rd Circuit | The court continued to utilize a case management system. All incoming records including transcripts, briefs, pleadings, correspondence, opinions, applications to the Supreme Court, dockets worksheets, etc. are scanned into the case management system. After scanning, the documents are reviewable from a computer or mobile device by anyone in the court authorized to use the system. The case management system also provides the data necessary to produce various reports.
The court hired a case management system programmer to revamp and modernize the Court's case management system which will integrate with the production of reports and the e-filing of cases.
