The Family Court Program hearing officers were regularly involved in meetings and communications with judicial partners. During the reporting period the St. Mary Parish Family Court program was involved with the implementation of a supervised visitation center. The St. Martin Parish Family Court program was involved with the relocation of Avec Les Enfants supervision center, strengthening both New Start and SNAP programs, and the volunteer lawyer program. Family Court hearing officers also regularly communicated with self-represented litigants by distributing self-represented litigant forms.

The court installed instant messaging so communications with judicial partners could be instant. The court also linked databases for protective order information so work was not being repeated.

Discussed with state legislators the expansion of juvenile jurisdiction to include 17-year-olds.
Orleans Parish Criminal District Court
Implementation of meeting schedules and goals.
