Additional actions taken by the courts to address this objective
4th JDC | The 4th JDC judicial assistants and other court personnel received in-house training, by court human resources staff, on various topics to support their professional development.
|
14th JDC | The 14th JDC judges worked with the compliance officer to assist her to better document her cases and to develop better communication between them.
|
15th JDC | The court expanded the capability of For The Record (FTR) digital recording equipment and provided continued training on use of FTR for all court reporters.
|
16th JDC | The 16th JDC provided in-house training to judges, law clerks, and court reporters regarding use of new courtroom audio equipment in the Iberia and St. Martin Parish courtrooms. The court also paid for continuing employee education and training, provided in-house information technology training, and sent employees to conferences on a regular, ongoing basis.

19th JDC | The 19th JDC employee handbook underwent a major overhaul (with the help of legal counsel) during the period. Also, the court continued the "employee council," a voluntary employee group. Since 2013, the council has brought employee concerns and suggestions to the court administrator, who presents them to the judges.

22nd JDC | The court specifically addressed issues arising from the use of social media by sponsoring an employee training given by the Special Counsel of the Louisiana Judiciary Commission.

24th JDC | The 24th JDC updated its policies and procedures manual and job descriptions.
|
29th JDC | The 29th JDC required all court personnel to complete online training in ethics and the prevention of sexual harassment.
|
40th JDC | The court encouraged, and funded, court employees' continuing training and education.
|
Jefferson Parish Juvenile Court | The court specifically addressed the issue of harassment in the workplace through a mandated harassment prevention training program.
