1st Circuit | The court posted information to the Announcement section of its website to notify the bench and bar of ongoing court activities. The court maintained a main lobby message board that was constantly updated with important court dates and functions. |
2nd Circuit | The court continued to hire students from law schools as interns, providing the opportunity to expose law students to the appellate process and the operation/activities of this court.
Judge Drew and Jean Drew gave free seminars to the state police and spoke to various senior citizen groups on crimes against the elderly, wills, powers of attorney, etc.
First Deputy Clerk Brian Walls hosted a school group, Kids Amazing Shake event, wherein 5th graders were able to interact with employees concerning current events and how the world handles certain situations in a classroom and in a professional setting. Chief Judge Brown spoke with the kids prior to a tour of the courthouse. The tour included the Judges' conference room and the robing room. |

This court continues to publish news releases on its website and sends notices to the local papers and television stations providing coverage in their circuit.
When the Court circuit rides and holds court in other parishes, the judges also provide classroom instruction to the local high school students who attend the oral argument.
